I'm Rosie, your new songwriting cheerleader! 📣
During the past 14 years as a pro musician (I know, I look only 10 years old - it's the Scottish water!) I have worked with hundreds of songwriters helping them develop and grow as music artists.
I created this workshop space to help you find your unique creative voice, learn songwriting techniques, and get more clarity on what you really want whilst protecting some precious time to for you to jump into your music.

Who is the workshop for?Authentic Songwriting is for beginner to intermediate songwriters who are looking to dive into their music artistry on a deeper level. You will not be bombarded with music theory or dry lectures but instead encouraged to express yourself as honestly and uniquely as you can. This is the basis of everything inside Authentic Songwriting.

Do I need to attend the workshops live?Not at all, you can watch the replay of each workshop as soon as it's over and you will have access to all replays until the 7th of October. That said, the songwriters that get the very most out of this workshop are the ones that put it into their schedule, make the time for it and show up.

What time are the workshops?Each workshop is at 11am UK time and will last for 30 minutes plus Q+A time at the end. Can't attend at that time? No worries! The replays are available to you immediately and until the the 7th October. It is important that you honour your own creative timing and do the workshop when you can, when it is right for you and your music.

What if I miss a day of the workshop?No worries, you have two whole weeks to catch up with the workshop in your own time before everything closes on the Monday 7th October. It's important for us to honour our own timing when it comes to making music, it's great if you can follow along in real time but it is not necessary, you can catch up!

Do I need to play an instrument to join?It will help but it's not a must! As long as you can write melody and lyrics in a structured way, you have all the basics of a song. You can sing your ideas in order to share them and of course, if you can play a bit of piano or guitar - that’s a bonus (and so many songs only need a couple of chords!) Just be ready to write some melodies and words - that’s all you need to start Authentic Songwriting!

How many songs do I need to write?As many or as little as you like! Each daily workshop training is for you to explore your unique and authentic songwriting style. For some writers that means blazing through one song per day, for others that means a slow and stead smoulder... you do you, please, because that's literally the point.

How long will the community stay open?The free bonus exclusive community will be open until Monday 7th October at which point all replays will be removed and the group will be paused, so make the most of it and get stuck in whilst you can!

Do I need to know music theory?Nope! I have taught hundreds of songwriters who have zero music theory knowledge and they have gone on to write incredible, unique and original music, and even released their songs out into the world. P.S. If you are interested in learning music theory, songwriting technique and solid tools to improve your writing then my Radical Songwriting Academy program would be an excellent place to start!
